Sunlit Lace Top knitting pattern

METHOD: Designed with simplicity in mind, this top is knitted in two separate pieces, starting from the bottom up. The pieces are joined together through sewing. Additionally, stitches will be picked up to create the neckline and armholes.

STITCHES: Throughout this project, you will meet the various techniques, including casting on, knitting, purling, purling two and three stitches together, yarn overs, and casting off.

CUSTOMIZE your top: Personalize your garment by selecting your desired length, the depth of the neckline, and fit options. Take a look at the accompanying photos for inspiration and choose the style that best suits your taste.

7 SIZES: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL. Check out the chart on the photo to help you decide which size to choose.

This top has a loose and comfortable fit. If you prefer a tighter fit, you can choose to knit a smaller size.

Model is wearing a size S and, 168 cm (5’6’’) tall with a 89 cm/ 35” bust circumference.

YARN: Get creative with your choice of yarn for this project. You can opt for 100% cotton yarn or explore other options available at your local yarn store.

For this summer knit top pattern, I used Drops “Paris” yarn (100% cotton, 50 g/75 m or 1.8 oz/82 yards, color #17 Off White). You will need 8, 9, 10, 11 - 50g/1.8 oz skeins, depending on your size.

Alternatively, you can try mercerized* cotton like Lion Brand “24/7 Cotton” (100g/170m or 3.5 oz/186 yards). For your size, you will need 4, 5, 5, 6 - 100g (3.5 oz) skeins.

GAUGE is not particularly critical for this top, if you use 6 mm (US 10) needles and recommended yarn. But nevertheless, it is 12 stitches x 20 rows in a 10 cm (4 in) piece in Lace stitch.

NEEDLES - Circular needles 5 and 6 mm (US 8 and US 10) and approx 60 cm/24 inches total length.
