OVERVIEW
A hand knit cardigan is a gift of love, a hug you wear. Heather cardigan will be your go-to layer at midseason, when the weather calls for indoor coziness. The textured ribbed pattern is knitted with a simple combination of knits and purls. And this cardigan has the relaxed fit you love.

Cardigan is worked back and forth with circular needles, bottom up as far as the armholes. Then the front and back pieces are finished separately. The sleeves are worked back and forth with circular (or straight) needles top-down.

SIZES: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL
This cardigan has approx 25 cm/ 10 inches of positive easy at the bust.

Finished cardigan circumference: approx. 103-110-121-128-134-140-152 cm or 41-44-48.5-51-53.5-56-61 inches.

I wear size M (my bust is 90 cm/ 35 inches).

STITCHES: simple Knit and Purl stitches, K2tog, K3tog (easy decreases).

YARN: Super chunky yarn is great for beginner knitters. It works up really fast and you can also see what you are doing easily. It is simple to spot and correct any mistakes, and knitting with chunky yarn is generally just a lot of fun.

You can choose the yarn specified in the cardigan pattern or something similar enough. I used Crazy Sexy Wool yarn (color Mellow Mauve) for this project.

“Crazy Sexy Wool” by Wool and the Gang or “The Wool” by We are knitters (100% wool, 200 grams/80 metres).
You will need 6-7-7-8-8-9-10 skeins for your size.

NEEDLES: 15 mm (US 19) and approx 80 cm/32 inches long.

GAUGE: 6.5-7 stitches x 8 rows = 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inches.
