The Nuance Tee is a beginner friendly summer top with a simple circular yoke and minimal shaping, designed to give you that little “wow” every time you put it on and think, I made this, and it looks amazing.
I called it Nuance because the mesh stitch adds just enough openness to gently change how the fabric looks on the body, creating that sense of nuance.
♥ SKILL LEVEL. Beginner.
Don't worry if you're new to garment knitting. All of my patterns are designed with adventurous beginners in mind. As long as you're comfortable with the knit and purl stitches and have tackled projects like scarves or hats, you have the skills to create this tee.
♥ METHOD:
This seamless tee is worked from the top down, beginning with the ribbed neckline. The circular yoke is shaped with 5 increase rounds. You can choose between two yoke options:
The Mesh Yoke: Worked in a decorative net stitch pattern for a lighter, more textured look.
The Basic Yoke: Worked in simple stockinette stitch. For an even better fit, you can add optional back-neck shaping using German Short Rows.
After the yoke is complete, the body and sleeves are separated. From there, the rest of the tee is worked in the round in stockinette stitch.
♥ 11 SIZES: XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL, 6XL. Check out the chart on the photo to help you decide which size to choose.
This tee is designed with approx. 0-10 cm/ 0-4 inches of positive ease.
I am wearing a size S and, I am 168 cm tall (5’6’’) with a 94 cm (37 inches) bust circumference.

Just read thru this pattern which is the first thing you must do. The pattern is very detailed so must be followed closely. Basic stitches and short row detailed if you chose to add. Even gives instructions on the gauge swatch. I will purchase another pattern from this designer.
Hi Julia, I have started the top just a few days ago because the wool didn't arrive earlier. I really like the pattern but I was not happy with the increases in step 4. I don't want to see them. So now I will try another method. I'm going to knit 2 stitches out of one stitch that's on the left needle. I hope this will be fine.
But I really love your videos. They help me a lot. So thank you for this.
For my next top I really would like one with a V-neck.
Perhaps you have already made one.
In the meantime thanks to you, have a nice day,
yours Ulli
Thank you. Easy to follow and beautifull result.
Simplicity is the best. Will start knitting after going through the steps. Will like to have more short sleeves patterns as Sg is hot all year round.
I have not made this yet, but her patterns are always well written and so easy to follow even for a beginner like myself. The video tutorials are a great visual/audio on addition to the pattern.
