Would you like to test knit Mellow Mood cardigan?

I’m excited to invite you to test knit my newest design - the Mellow Mood Cardigan!

The idea came naturally: turn the beloved Mellow Mood Sweater into a simple yet stylish cardigan. I wanted it to feel approachable and enjoyable for beginner knitters - something you can knit with confidence and wear with pride.

It’s knit top-down with raglan shaping and neat button bands built in. No seaming, no fuss. I also included notes for a men’s version (Alex is already waiting for his 🤗).

The details:

• Deadline: October 6, 2025 (flexible for larger sizes)
• Level: Adventurous Beginner (if you’ve already knitted the Mellow Mood Sweater or Top and are ready for a small challenge, you can do it!)
• Yarn: Aran weight (approx. 70–80 m per 50g); I used Drops Nepal.
• Gauge: 16 sts × 22 rows = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4") in stockinette on 5.5 mm (US 9) needles, after blocking.
• Construction: Top-down; worked flat with raglan increases, built-in button bands, simple 2-row buttonholes; sleeves in the round.

If you’ve never test knitted before - you’re welcome here! Test knitting is just like working on any other project, but with me and a group of knitters by your side. You’ll get the pattern for free, work through it at your own pace, and ask questions anytime along the way.

You help me by noting any mistakes, typos, unclear instructions etc. It’s a fun, low-pressure way to try something new!

Just one requirement: If I reserve a spot for you, I ask that you commit to doing your best to start and finish on time. I’ll be counting on you! ♥️
