I’m excited to invite you to test knit my newest design - the Monoko Tee!

This tee is designed to be a gentle introduction to lace knitting for beginner knitters, with just the right amount of challenge in one project. And if lace feels like a lot right now, I've also included a plain version.
I'll also be filming a full video tutorial in August 2026 to walk you through all the lace tips and tricks, so you won't be alone!
The details:
Deadline: July 28, 2026.
Level: Adventurous Beginner (you should have knitted at least one garment before)
Yarn: DK weight; I used Drops Belle. Sandnes Garn Line or other plant based yarns (110–120 m per 50 g) will also work.
Gauge: 20 sts × 30 rows = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4") in stockinette on 4 mm (US 6) needles, after blocking.
Construction: Top down; drop shoulder construction with increases on every row; upper part is worked back-and-forth, body and sleeves worked in the round.
If you’ve never test knitted before - you’re welcome here! Test knitting is just like working on any other project, but with me and a group of knitters by your side. You’ll get the pattern for free, work through it at your own pace, and ask questions anytime along the way.
You help me by noting any mistakes, typos, unclear instructions etc. It’s a fun, low-pressure way to try something new!
